Example student: Grade 10. A founded app, a summer in a lab, not yet tested. Most-selective strength level

Built to answer more than “will I get in?”

College positioning is part of it. The rest is about the student: what they are good at, what fits them, and what to do next.

  1. 01

    Where am I now?

  2. 02

    What are my distinctive strengths?

  3. 03

    What could I become?

  4. 04

    What opportunities fit me?

  5. 05

    What could I build next?

  6. 06

    What paths could this open?

Eight dimensions, read in context.

Each dimension is read as Highly competitive, Competitive, Developing or Significant opportunity, against what is typical for the student's grade.

Read the full methodology
Academic profile
GPA, read on a consistent scale.

SAT or ACT, concorded, with AP scores as corroboration. Missing scores are excluded, not zeroed.
Course rigor
Advanced coursework relative to what the school offers.
Extracurricular depth
Years, weekly hours and reach of the strongest commitments.
Leadership
Responsibility held, weighted by duration and scope.
Intellectual distinctiveness
Research, ventures, independent work, recognition and focus.
Academic direction
Whether there is a field, a reason and an ambition behind the work.
Profile coherence
Whether interests, strongest subjects, activities and goals point the same way.

Pathways, not just colleges.

A student interested in AI, biology and entrepreneurship shouldn't only get a list of colleges. The Forecast reads which routes the evidence supports, each labelled strong fit, emerging fit, worth exploring or not indicated yet.

Pathways are possibilities to test, never predictions or guarantees.

Fact, interpretation and possibility, kept apart.

Most tools blur these together. The Forecast labels each one, so you always know what is measured, what is judged, and what is only possible.

Fact
What you entered, and university data with its source, date and confidence. Nothing here is generated by AI.
Interpretation
Dimension ratings, university positions and the written reading. Produced by a published rules model; AI may explain it but cannot change it.
Possibility
Pathways and next moves. Directions worth testing, never predictions.

Positions, not probabilities.

A tool that tells you a student has a 23.4% chance at Harvard is claiming precision no one has. The Forecast places a profile in one of four positions for each university and explains why: what is working, what is missing, and what would change it.

Significant opportunity

    Developing

      Competitive

      • Stanford University
